How to Retain Users in Your Protocol

1 min readAug 23, 2024

When I first joined Web3, I needed help understanding some terminologies.

While searching for more, I stumbled on YouTube videos of protocol founders who attended conferences.

The problem wasn’t that they weren’t explaining their protocol efficiently but were using technical words that newbies need help understanding.

I often sleep off watching these videos because I can barely understand what they are saying.

Many newbies feel the same way when they visit your project’s docs, blogs, or social media feeds.

Using technical concepts only increases the bounce rate of visitors.

You may not have the time to explain technical words, but sending a clear message has been proven to increase the chances of converting visitors to users of your protocol.

Without visitors going through your content on your website, a scroll around your social media account is enough to summarise what you offer and how you offer it.

It helps visitors to share your message quickly with their friends.

Simplify your messages before posting them on your website or social media accounts.
